Jesus himself set an example for baptism when he waded into the Jordan River with John the Baptist at his side. Following Christ’s example, The Mountain Church believes in water baptism for believers as an outward profession of faith. Just as Jesus died, was buried and resurrected to life, baptism is a symbol of trading a temporal life for an eternal one.
