Royal Family Kids Camp

Royal Family Kids Camp is a week long camp for children in the foster care system. The Mountain Church has facilitated camp for over 25 years and has served thousands in the Utah State foster care system. We believe what it says in James 1:27, that “Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.”

Salt Lake City, Utah confronting abuse and neglect. We are honored to be doing the Lord’s work here in Utah as we serve our community and help those kids who need it most. Annually, 3.6 million cases of child abuse, neglect or abandonment are reported in America. One of these victims dies every six hours due to that abuse. But you can make a difference — through your support of Royal Family KIDS. Royal Family KIDS Camp is a summer camp program for foster kids age 7-11 and is specifically designed to help heal the emotional scars of abuse, in a fun and safe environment. When children come to Royal Family KIDS, Camp they often struggle with the belief that no one loves them. But after one week of healthy fun and care from trustworthy trained adults, campers leave with a heart full of positive memories and a new self-identity as someone of great worth! Our main purpose is to build their self-worth and answer the questions “Am I Loved” and “Do I Matter?” As you might imagine, it’s not easy to raise nearly $45,000 each year to create a fun-filled week of memories for these children, but the smiles on those children’s faces is worth more than we could possibly give. Our volunteers love serving at this camp! Many counselors and support staff have been a part of our camp for 20 years. College students, moms and dads, retired couples – all types of people find joy in serving these precious children. Royal Family KIDS Camp has a camper-to-counselor ratio of 2:1 with at least 30 additional support staff. Activities are purposefully designed to be non-competitive and non-threatening while allowing children to experience success. God’s love is modeled consistently, through the games, sports, activity centers, Bible stories, drama and quiet times the campers share with their counselors. Relationships and memories are forever made and cherished at camp and these little ones are remembered, loved and prayed for throughout the year. Royal Family KIDS, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. Donations and gifts are tax-deductible, as allowed by law. The Mountain Church, 8000 S 300 E, Sandy UT 84070 is privileged to sponsor a Royal Family KIDS Camp every summer since 1997.
